Software Contracting

Bitrealm LLC is the contracting practice of Matt Beisser, a staff-level software engineer with more than ten years in C++ and Rust for embedded, automotive, and performance-critical systems. Available for part-time and project-based work.

Embedded and systems code

Production C++ and Rust on Linux: device modules, packet and stream processing, middleware integration, and the tooling around them.

Legacy modernization

Compiler and toolchain upgrades, build-system rewrites, and RTOS-to-Linux ports on codebases that have to keep working while they change.

Automotive and safety-critical

SOME/IP, DoIP, and UDS integration; ISO 26262 verification evidence; Automotive SPICE test process work ahead of an audit.

Performance and diagnostics

Profiling with perf and flame graphs, worst-case execution time fixes, and diagnostic data pipelines that make sensor failures explainable.

Where the
experience
comes from

Toptech Systems, 2012 to 2021. Nine years on a million-line C++ product for fuel terminal automation. Ported the flagship controller from eCos to Yocto Linux and modernized the build and codebase along the way.

Education. B.S. Computer Engineering, University of Central Florida.
